John Mark currently works as ASL Instructor for the ASL/Interpreting Training at San Antonio College. He earned his Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from SAC, a Bachelor of Computer Information Systems from Texas State University-San Marcos, and a master's degree in Deaf Ed & Deaf Studies from Lamar University.

John Mark grew up in Jamaica. His parents and grandparents are deaf making him third generation deaf. He attended all Deaf schools from primary to high school in Jamaica. John Mark was a leader in school and later as the president of the Deaf Club in Jamaica. He is also a Deaf Poker in several Deaf tournaments in which he won more than four champions.
