SHARI LYNN MOORE is a native of Washington State currently living in Largo, Florida. She is the single mother of a deaf son who is now 24 years old. For 12 years, while raising her son, she worked as a Nursing Assistant and discovered a love for helping people and making them feel good about themselves. After her son graduated from high school and moved out, she faced a new emptiness on top of her unhealthy lifestyle.

It was a major turning point for Shari. She decided to take steps to improve her lifestyle through physical fitness and meal planning which embarked her on a journey towards a healthier self.

With the founding of DeaFIT, a Facebook based group, she hopes to teach, encourage, and support other deaf people to become and stay FIT. Her current goal is to compete in the National Physique Competition as a figure competitor and work her way towards earning an IFBB Pro Card, becoming a deaf bodybuilder while representing DeaFIT. Her hobbies include working out, traveling, shopping, quoting, and meeting new people.
